7 months old!

This week mommy was too tired and baby was too hot to hassle with outfit change for 7 month pictures. Due to the heat we decided to go to the beach. The little mr was fussy and who wouldn’t be in this 38 degree weather in Cape Town. There was a bit of wind at the beach and we decided to keep him in his Doona. Little mr was not impressed and the look on his face says it all!

Cristiano is now somewhat crawling and very active! We constantly need to keep an eye on him! He jets through the house in his walking ring and pulls on everything and pulls out everything in cupboards. It also looks like 2 top teeth are trying to make its way through. This kid looks so tall and I cannot believe how much he has grown. He clearly has his father’s body build. He is bigger in clothing size on top than bottom.

I still can’t believe my little munchkin is 7months old! Will need to start planning first birthday soon!

Cristiano’s Dedicationย

We started attending Hillsong Church when we moved to Milnerton. We quite enjoy the Sunday services. It was here that we decided to dedicate our little one to the Lord and pledged to raise him in the Christian faith. The Lord has been our strength through this life and our prayer for our boy is that he will walk with the Lord through this journey called life. The bible verse we dedicate to him is Isaiah 40:31 “ But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Here are some pictures of the day.

6 Months Old!

Cristiano my boy, where has time gone?! I can’t believe you’re 6months old already! It was just the other day that I gave birth to you and held your tiny body on my chest. Now your personality is starting to shine through. You are such a happy, vibrant and friendly little boy. You love running the whole place full in your walking ring and talking to mom and dad. Your other favourite past time is rolling and crawling around on the floor or in your cot. You grab onto everything and recently started eating purity and veggies that mommy makes. You prefer sweet potato like your dad which makes him very happy. You also have 2 teeth and I think a few more on its way. Your smile and laughter makes everyone’s day! You are the most amazing boy in the whole universe and I am proud to be your mother. I love you boy! ๐Ÿ˜™

5 Months Old!

My little monkey is 5 months old! He is quite the busy bug. Cristiano discovered his strong legs, feet and toes. He now kicks like crazy and pulls his toes towards his mouth. This is so much fun but also so exhausting. Bath time has become a lot of fun and very wet! I think I may need to move him to the big bath. ๐Ÿ™ˆ He also scoots on his stomach and rolls back to tummy and vice versa. My little bug also started on solids and had some butternut. Still getting used to it but it’s ok so far. Next up we trying sweet potato. Ooohh! And my baby is teething! 2 bottom teeth are showing and boy are they sharp! The little bugger refuses to let me get a picture of this big milestone. ๐Ÿ˜’ Here’s some pics of his 5month shoot! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Priceless Moments

It’s 12am and I am wide awake after feeding Cristiano and putting him back to bed. For some reason I cannot stop looking at his precious face that brightens up my days. All I can think is how blessed I am to have this little human in my life and calling him mine. Cristiano, one day when you read this, always remember that mommy loves you more than life itself. โคโคโค

4 Months Old!

Time is flying by and I am looking for a pause button! My baby that was born not too long ago is 4 months already! He is talking and playing a lot now. He has been chewing alot on his hands recently and the sister at the clinic says it’s normal. It also seems like his gums are itching quite a bit so I ordered him a teething mitten. I am so blessed to have a boy that sleeps straight through the night. I have to wake him to feed and change him as he does not eat a lot at once but rather multiple small bottles. He kicks a lot and always wants your full attention. Do not think you can be busy on your phone and deal with him. He will scream at you! ๐Ÿ˜… I fully agree with him. I mean, who can ignore that cute little rascal face?

We did his 4 month photos yesterday and this is the results. ๐Ÿ˜Š

The Superman onesie I got from the Woolies factory shop and I decided to make the 4 months on a Charly’s Bakery Cupcake.

Grannies Lunch at Brenaissance

Both my mother and mother-in-law are born under the same star sign, Cancer. Their birthdays are 2weeks apart and I decided to take the 2 of them for lunch at Brenaissance with the little Mr. Both grandma’s love their grandson to the moon and back and have been a tremendous source of support. I only saw it fitting to treat these two ladies to one of the best wine estates I know of, Brenaissance.

Brenaissance is the estate before our wedding venue (Clos Malverne) in Stellenbosch. I love this estate! It is absolutely beautiful and stylish with its black and white theme. What I love even more about this estate now that I am a mommy, is the playground and the little stream that passes by. The day we went the weather was a bit dreary but I can’t wait to go back in summer when Cristiano is bigger and can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The below pictures were taken in 2013 when me and Marc first visited the estate and it also gives one a nice idea of how amazing it looks on a bright summers day.

We ordered the Lord T red blend which I absolutely LOVE! We ordered the Full house pizza and the Hole-some Option. The Full House pizza consisted of a Biltong, Cajun Chicken, Parma Ham and Caramelised Onion pizza. This way we had all the flavours in 1! Yummy! The Hole-some pizza was a pizza of your choice with the middle cut out and replaced with a salad. Very different but oh so nice!

Cristiano’s bottle got the royal treatment. ๐Ÿ˜…
Cristiano also made a cute new friend at Brenaissance. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Our Doona is a real life saver on these outings. Review on this nifty must have coming soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰ With the fire crackling and there being very few people, we had an amazing time! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Impromptu trip to Camps Bay

Not too long ago my sister-in-law surprised us with a very quick visit. After dropping her at the airport, while driving on the N2, we decided to take it to the beach. Unsure of which beach to go to, we randomly chose Camps Bay. We havenโ€™t been there in a long time!

When we got there the beach was nice and empty (a first for us). We had views for days! Everything was so peaceful and quiet.

The ocean air got hubby hungry quickly and as we were walking down the strip, friendly staff at Mynt Cafรฉ invited us for breakfast. Now this is my kind of service! ย My pregnancy craving is sweet stuff and all I wanted was a pancake, waffle or flapjacks! I ordered the Protein Pancakes which consisted of 4 whey powder pancakes layered with blue berries, banana, mixed nuts and honey. It was divine, just what me and baby more wanted than needed. Hubby got himself an Eggs Benedict. I was too late to take a picture. Pappa bear was hungry. I loved the interior and we received great service. Definitely worth the visit!

After breakfast we took a leisurely stroll back to the car and home. It was just what the soul needed.

Sorry for the quality of some of the pictures. My slr was at home on this quick trip.

Boxing Day on the West Coast

We have started a tradition of visiting new places on Boxing Day. 2016 was no different. Since we moved to the West Coast, we decided to go to Eden On The Bay. It was a beautiful clear day with the picturesque Table Mountain on the background.

We went for lunch to Captain’s Kitchen where Marc settled for a cold Rose and I opted for a passion fruit and lemonade.

What attracted us to Captain’s Kitchen was the stunning views and the fact that they had deep fried sushi, considering I can’t have any raw fish. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ My only problem with the deep fried sushi was that it had so much rice and almost no fish to taste. According to Marc the salmon roses were divine!

After lunch we took a leisurely stroll taking in the sights and the sounds of our surroundings. It was pure bliss! ๐Ÿ™‚
